A way to leverage or replace charitable donations

When considering which organization to make charitable contributions to Americans have their pick of charities, ranging from groups protecting the environment or animals, to charities that benefit children or political causes. In addition to these groups, Americans can also make donations to churches, schools, and other non-profit organizations.

In 2008, Americans gave away over $300 billion to charities with individual contributions accounting for $160 billion or 75.8% of the total amount. According to the American Association of Fundraising Council (AAFRC), Giving USA report, 2008 was one of the highest giving years on record.
